Privacy Policy

Overview

This website is operated by the trademark holder of Octipa. Throughout the site, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Octipa. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website or buy from us, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have over it.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Like most online stores, we use advertising partners to show you relevant ads, which some U.S. state laws treat as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out at any time by emailing hello@octipa.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information."

By using our website or placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

Section 1 Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you place an order, create an account, sign up for emails or texts, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, order details, and any message you send us.

Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically. When you browse our site, we receive your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, products added to cart, referring website, and approximate location, through cookies and similar technologies.

Section 2 How We Use Your Information

  • to process, ship, and track your orders, and handle returns and exchanges;
  • to answer your questions and provide customer support;
  • to send you order updates by email or text;
  • to send you marketing emails and texts, only if you have agreed to receive them;
  • to show you relevant ads and measure how well they work;
  • to improve our website, products, and services;
  • to prevent fraud and comply with our legal obligations.

Section 3 Health-Related Information

Some of our products relate to intimate comfort and pelvic health. We do not ask for medical information and we do not need it to fulfill your order. Your order history is used to deliver your products and support you, and is never shared with advertising partners as health information.

Section 4 Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar tools to keep items in your cart, remember your preferences, understand how our site is used, and measure our advertising. These include tools provided by Shopify, Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, and Pinterest.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of targeted advertising by emailing hello@octipa.com. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works, for example your cart.

Section 5 Email & SMS Marketing

If you sign up, we send you marketing emails and recurring automated text messages, including offers and cart reminders. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link at the bottom of each email. For texts, reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. We do not share your phone number or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing.

Section 6 How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only with the partners who help us run our store:

  • Store platform and payments: Shopify and our payment providers;
  • Shipping: our warehouses and delivery carriers;
  • Customer communication: our email, SMS, and customer support tools;
  • Reviews: our product review provider;
  • Advertising and analytics: Google, Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest, unless you opt out;
  • Legal reasons: authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights.

These partners may only use your information to provide their services to us, under their own privacy policies.

Section 7 Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other U.S. states, you may have the right to:

  • know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your personal information;
  • opt out of targeted advertising and the "sale" or "sharing" of your information;
  • appeal our decision if we refuse your request.

To make a request, email hello@octipa.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we will reply within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the rights provided by the GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Section 8 Data Retention

We keep your order information as long as needed to fulfill your order, handle returns, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Section 9 Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. Payment data is encrypted and processed in line with PCI-DSS standards. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Section 10 Children's Privacy

Our website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Section 11 International Transfers

Our store is operated from outside the United States, and our partners may process your information in other countries. When this happens, we make sure your information remains protected as described in this policy.

Section 12 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The latest version is always available on this page. Your continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
